With the launch of our final pilot with the City of Greater Geelong’s Green Waste Processing Facility I wanted to go into further detail about what we’re hoping to achieve from it.
In essence it’s one final check with a real customer that goes beyond the design and compliance phase. We’re putting them out in the wild over the brutal Aussie summer, collecting internal data and seeing how they fare before a wider roll out.
It also gives us time to tweak the firmware and discover any software bugs that might be lurking. With each change something we always have to think about is power management but there are also little quality of life improvements that can be made.
Many of the best features of the RM1 have come from observing real life product use out at the City of Greater Geelong’s Green Waste Facility, they are great teachers.
